Stranger Things Season 5, the last season of the Netflix series, was promoted with a new featurette.
After being delayed several months due to the writers’ strike and actors’ strike, Season 5 of Stranger Things (also the last season of the show) finally began production in early 2024, scheduled over twelve months, wrapping at the end of December. We’ve heard that creators like the Duffer Brothers have worked hard to get the season ready for release, and now we know exactly when the premiere date will be. Netflix recently announced that Season 5 will be split into three volumes: Volume One on November 26, 2025; Volume Two on Christmas Day, 2025; and the finale on New Year’s Eve, with each volume released at 8 PM Eastern Time.
With the first volume now just two months away, Netflix is promoting the new episodes with the release of a featurette, which you can watch in the embed above.
Stranger Things follows a love letter to classic ‘80s horror films, set in a seemingly ordinary Midwestern town called Hawkins, Indiana. After a boy vanishes into thin air, his friends and family search for answers and are pulled into a high-stakes, deadly series of events. Beneath the surface of their ordinary town lies an extraordinary supernatural mystery, alongside top-secret government experiments and a dangerous gateway connecting our world to a powerful yet sinister realm. Friendships will be tested, lives altered, and what they discover could change Hawkins forever — and potentially the world.
Stranger Things is produced by Monkey Massacre Productions and 21 Laps Entertainment. The Duffer Brothers serve as executive producers alongside Shawn Levy and Dan Cohen of 21 Laps Entertainment, Iain Paterson, and Curtis Gwinn.
